weaving rainbows....

A Quechua girl weaves textiles by hand in the Sacred Valley,
between Cusco and Machu Picchu in Peru.
All photos by Wendy Stefansson.

On the sunny side of the Andes but only kilometres from the Amazon rainforest, the Quechua people create textiles that contain the entire rainbow.

Stacks of rainbows ~ handwoven textiles in the market in Pisac, Peru.
More textiles.

Beautiful backpacks.
